Beschreibung für den SN65C23243
Die SN65C23243 und SN75C23243 bestehen aus zwei Ports, die jeweils drei Line-Treiber und fünf Line-Empfänger enthalten, sowie einer Dual-Ladungspumpenschaltung mit ±15-kV ESD-Schutz von Pin zu Pin (Seriell-Port-Anschlüsse, einschließlich GND). Diese Geräte erfüllen die Anforderungen von TIA/EIA-232-F und bieten die elektrische Schnittstelle zwischen einem asynchronen Kommunikationscontroller und dem Seriell-Port-Stecker. Diese Kombination von Treibern und Empfängern entspricht der, die für zwei typische serielle Ports eines IBM PC/AT oder kompatibler Geräte benötigt wird. Die Ladungspumpe und vier kleine externe Kondensatoren ermöglichen den Betrieb von einer einzigen 3-V- bis 5,5-V-Versorgung. Darüber hinaus enthalten diese Geräte einen immer aktiven nicht-invertierenden Ausgang (ROUT2) pro Port, der es Anwendungen mit Ringindikator ermöglicht, Daten zu übertragen, während die Geräte ausgeschaltet sind. Die Geräte arbeiten mit Datenraten von bis zu 250 kbit/s und einer maximalen Treiber-Ausgangsflankensteilheit von 30 V/µs.
Flexible Steuerungsoptionen für das Energiemanagement sind verfügbar, wenn einer oder beide seriellen Ports inaktiv sind. Die Auto-Powerdown-Funktion funktioniert, wenn FORCEON niedrig und FORCEOFF hoch ist. Während dieses Betriebsmodus werden die Treiber-Ausgänge des jeweiligen Ports deaktiviert, wenn das Gerät kein gültiges RS-232-Signal erkennt. Wenn FORCEOFF auf niedrig gesetzt wird, werden sowohl Treiber als auch Empfänger (außer ROUT2) abgeschaltet und der Versorgungsstrom auf 1 µA reduziert. Das Trennen des seriellen Ports oder das Abschalten der Peripherietreiber führt zum Auto-Powerdown-Zustand.
Auto-Powerdown kann deaktiviert werden, wenn FORCEON und FORCEOFF hoch sind, und sollte bei der Ansteuerung einer seriellen Maus erfolgen. Wenn Auto-Powerdown aktiviert ist, wird der RS-232-Port automatisch aktiviert, wenn ein gültiges Signal an einen beliebigen entsprechenden Empfängereingang angelegt wird. Der INV-Ausgang wird verwendet, um den Benutzer zu benachrichtigen, wenn ein RS-232-Signal an einem Empfängereingang vorhanden ist. INV ist hoch (gültige Daten), wenn die Spannung an einem beliebigen Empfängereingang größer als 2,7 V oder kleiner als –2,7 V ist oder zwischen –0,3 V und 0,3 V für weniger als 30 µs lag. INV ist niedrig (ungültige Daten), wenn alle Empfängereingangsspannungen länger als 30 µs zwischen –0,3 V und 0,3 V liegen. Siehe Abbildung 5 für Empfängereingangslevel.
