Caratteristiche:
I dispositivi 'ABT16373A sono latch trasparenti di tipo D a 16 bit con uscite a 3 stati progettati specificamente per pilotare carichi altamente capacitivi o a impedenza relativamente bassa. Sono particolarmente adatti per implementare registri buffer, porte I/O, driver di bus bidirezionali e registri di lavoro.
Questi dispositivi possono essere utilizzati come due latch da 8 bit o un latch da 16 bit. Quando l'ingresso latch-enable (LE) è alto, le uscite Q seguono gli ingressi dati (D). Quando LE viene portato basso, le uscite Q vengono memorizzate ai livelli impostati sugli ingressi D.
Un ingresso buffered output-enable (OE) può essere utilizzato per posizionare le otto uscite in uno stato logico normale (livelli logici alti o bassi) o in uno stato ad alta impedenza. Nello stato ad alta impedenza, le uscite non caricano né pilotano significativamente le linee del bus. Lo stato ad alta impedenza e l'aumento di pilotaggio forniscono la capacità di pilotare le linee del bus senza la necessità di componenti di interfaccia o pull-up.
OE non influisce sulle operazioni interne del latch. Dati vecchi possono essere mantenuti o nuovi dati possono essere inseriti mentre le uscite sono nello stato ad alta impedenza.
Quando VCC è compreso tra 0 e 2,1 V, il dispositivo si trova nello stato ad alta impedenza durante l'accensione o lo spegnimento. Tuttavia, per garantire lo stato ad alta impedenza sopra i 2,1 V, OE dovrebbe essere collegato a VCC tramite una resistenza di pull-up; il valore minimo della resistenza è determinato dalla capacità di assorbimento di corrente del driver.
