Características:
Los 'ABT16373A son latches transparentes tipo D de 16 bits con salidas de 3 estados diseñados específicamente para manejar cargas altamente capacitivas o de baja impedancia. Son particularmente adecuados para implementar registros de búfer, puertos de E/S, controladores de bus bidireccionales y registros de trabajo.
Estos dispositivos se pueden usar como dos latches de 8 bits o un latch de 16 bits. Cuando la entrada de habilitación de latch (LE) está en alto, las salidas Q siguen las entradas de datos (D). Cuando LE se pone en bajo, las salidas Q se fijan en los niveles establecidos en las entradas D.
Una entrada de habilitación de salida (OE) con búfer se puede usar para colocar las ocho salidas en un estado lógico normal (niveles lógicos altos o bajos) o en un estado de alta impedancia. En el estado de alta impedancia, las salidas no cargan ni impulsan significativamente las líneas del bus. El estado de alta impedancia y la mayor capacidad de impulso brindan la capacidad de impulsar las líneas del bus sin necesidad de componentes de interfaz o pull-up.
OE no afecta las operaciones internas del latch. Los datos antiguos se pueden retener o se pueden ingresar datos nuevos mientras las salidas están en el estado de alta impedancia.

Cuando VCC está entre 0 y 2.1 V, el dispositivo está en estado de alta impedancia durante el encendido o apagado. Sin embargo, para asegurar el estado de alta impedancia por encima de 2.1 V, OE debe conectarse a VCC a través de una resistencia pull-up; el valor mínimo de la resistencia está determinado por la capacidad de sumidero de corriente del controlador.
