Die ’AHCT74 Dual Positive-Edge-Triggered Bauteile sind D-Type Flip-Flops. Ein niedriger Pegel an den Preset (PRE) oder Clear (CLR) Eingängen setzt oder löscht die Ausgänge, unabhängig von den Pegeln der anderen Eingänge. Wenn PRE und CLR inaktiv (hoch) sind, werden Daten am Dateneingang (D), die die Setup-Zeit-Anforderungen erfüllen, beim positiven Flankenwechsel des Taktsignals auf die Ausgänge übertragen. Die Takttriggerung erfolgt auf einem Spannungspegel und ist nicht direkt mit der Anstiegszeit des Taktsignals verbunden.
