Os dispositivos duplos com gatilho de borda positiva ’AHCT74 são flip-flops tipo D. Um nível baixo nas entradas preset (PRE) ou clear (CLR) define ou redefine as saídas, independentemente dos níveis das outras entradas. Quando PRE e CLR estão inativos (alto), os dados na entrada de dados (D) que atendem aos requisitos de tempo de configuração são transferidos para as saídas na borda ascendente do pulso de clock. O acionamento do clock ocorre em um nível de tensão e não está diretamente relacionado ao tempo de subida do pulso de clock.
