Dieser 16-Bit-flankengesteuerte D-Flip-Flop ist bei 0,8 V bis 2,7 V VCC betriebsbereit, ist aber speziell für den VCC-Betrieb von 1,65 V bis 1,95 V ausgelegt.
Der SN74AUC16374 eignet sich besonders für die Implementierung von Pufferregistern, E/A-Ports, bidirektionalen Bus-Treibern und Arbeitsregistern. Er kann als zwei 8-Bit-Flip-Flops oder ein 16-Bit-Flip-Flop verwendet werden. Bei der positiven Taktflanke (CLK) des Takteingangs übernehmen die Q-Ausgänge des Flip-Flops die an den Dateneingängen (D) anliegenden Logikpegel.
Ein gepufferter Ausgangsfreigabe-Eingang (OE) kann verwendet werden, um die acht Ausgänge entweder in einen normalen Logikzustand (hohe oder niedrige Logikpegel) oder in den hochohmigen Zustand zu versetzen. Im hochohmigen Zustand belasten oder treiben die Ausgänge die Busleitungen nicht wesentlich. Der hochohmige Zustand und der erhöhte Treiberstrom ermöglichen das Ansteuern von Busleitungen ohne Schnittstellen- oder Pull-up-Komponenten.
OE hat keinen Einfluss auf die internen Operationen des Latches. Alte Daten können beibehalten oder neue Daten eingegeben werden, während sich die Ausgänge im hochohmigen Zustand befinden.
Um den hochohmigen Zustand während des Ein- oder Ausschaltens sicherzustellen, sollte OE über einen Pull-up-Widerstand mit VCC verbunden werden; der Mindestwert des Widerstands wird durch die Stromsenkkapazität des Treibers bestimmt.
Dieses Gerät ist vollständig spezifiziert für Teil-Power-Down-Anwendungen mit Ioff. Die Ioff-Schaltung deaktiviert die Ausgänge und verhindert einen schädlichen Stromrückfluss durch das Gerät, wenn es ausgeschaltet ist.
